Problem-based learning for analysing the Data Modelling
Main Article Content
Abstract
The changing society where we live has transformed educational methodologies. Such dynamism compels organizations to demand professionals qualified with change adaptation and group working. Therefore, teachers are highly motivated to find new teaching strategies to work in the already mentioned competencies. Consequently, this work proposes a problem-based learning strategy with the aim of teaching skills, which has been applied to a determined subject of BSc on Videogame Design and Development. Several software-designed and develop-oriented problems were implemented to employ the proposed methodology related to the subject's learning targets. Furthermore, the problems were designed in such a way to encourage the development of students' creativity and stimulate their sense of collaboration. As a result, the students found an exciting and encouraging learning method that provoked a high rate of performance.
