Analysis of the factors contributing to the effective operation of professional learning networks in the Xarxa de Competències
Main Article Content
Abstract
Recognizing the growing importance of Professional Learning Networks (PLNs) in supporting continuous improvement within educational institutions, this article aims to delve into the factors that can contribute to their effective operation. It begins by exploring the relationship between Teacher Professional Development and Professional Collaboration to support the underlying conceptualization of these networks. Ten factors established through a systematic review in this field are utilized to analyze the Xarxa de Competències, a learning network with a significant trajectory in the Catalan context. Based on this analysis, specific definitions are constructed for each factor and broken down into practical indicators, providing new tools for analyzing and understanding the role of PLNs in educators' professional learning.
