Series and feature films at the crossroads of streaming platforms

Abstract

Documentaries, as an audiovisual format, are currently experiencing a golden age. This phenomenon can be explained from many different points of view. On the one hand, after an evolution during the last century, not without difficulties, but certainly in parallel to fiction, the implementation of digital media in audiovisual production systems over the last two decades has meant that directors have had greater capacity to tackle independent or personal projects with production costs infinitely lower than those of analog video or celluloid production.
