Main Article Content
Abstract
Over the past four decades, the academic field has seen the emergence of numerous and valuable research projects on women artists and their legacy, as well as a growth in studies that offer a gender perspective in arts, also around audiovisuals. In this text, through a brief review, an approach to music and sound from a gender perspective is offered in productions of diverse nature, also paying attention to the female figure as creator and as an object represented through the soundtrack, from its broadest perspective, but also attending to the semantic value of music and sound in products in which the prominence is monopolized by female characters, presenting different roles.
