Abstract

The «Open Access Initiative» has recently been developed by diverse universities, institutions, and foundations with the aim of improving and promoting the efficient dissemination and increment of scientific communication. Academic and scientific journals have a privileged position in this cooperative framework. Our intention is to define the international initiatives that nowadays facilitate the availability of content, the software repositories, and the communications protocol in order to offer openness to specialized translators or other users. Furthermore, this model provides a platform that respects standardization, royalties, and intellectual property.
