The religious production of the Malaga sculptor Salvador Gutiérrez de León (1777-1838) in the province of Cadiz and Ceuta city

Abstract

This study exhibits a series of sculptures and sculptural groups of a sacred nature located in the province of Cadiz and Ceuta city which, due to their formal characteristics, can be attributed to the work of the sculptor Salvador Gutiérrez de León, constituting an extension of his little known catalog. Likewise, the technical, aesthetic and formal characteristics of said author are analyzed for a better understanding of his personal style and its application in the artistic corpus of the aforementioned.
