The sculptor Cecilio López Criado (C. 1601 – 1671). The artistic patronage of religious orders
Main Article Content
Abstract
The sculptor Cecilio López Criado, disciple of Alonso de Mena, worked in the city of Baza. This would be the place where he would subsequently settle and open his workshop, in which he received several commisions. Among his works, it should be highlighted those produced for different religious orders and, in particular, the altarpieces of the convents of San Francisco and Santo Domingo in Baza, and of Merced in Cazorla.
