Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper reflects on the identities and artistic experiences of the master painters who worked in the environment of the Mendoza family in a late medieval Castile. A period of great complexity where the biography of many of these masters is as blurred as their professional profile or their connection with disparate works in geographical areas. An analysis that, supported by new documentary sources or revisiting other already known ones, try to clarify on such controversial personalities as that of the painter Juan (Rodríguez) de Segovia.
