The passion of Christ in the work of the sculptor Pedro de Ávila (1678-1755): New contributions to his catalogue
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Vallisoletan sculptor Pedro de Avila (1678-1755) was one of the leading figures of Castilian sculpture in the first third of the 18th century. Within his extensive production there is a large group of works that reproduce episodes of the Passion of Christ, a group that we propose to add to with a series of sculptures that can undoubtedly be attributed to him due to the presence of the sculptor's characteristic morphological features.
