The sculptural image of the virgin in Pedro Millan, Jorge Fernandez and their followers. State of the matter, revisions and new attributions
Main Article Content
Abstract
The greater knowledge that is increasingly available about the poetics, aesthetics and technique of sculptors from the Sevillian sculpture focus of the late 15th century and early 16th century as Pedro Millan or Jorge Fernandez, allows us to attribute a series of sculptures of the Virgin Mary with the Child -generally located in Andalusia- to these authors or their close circles, as well as qualify or correct old attributions that some of these images had, updating and increasing the catalogs of both artists with this study.
