«Calle cronista Rey Díaz»: Razones para mantener su nombre y comentario a la sentencia que así lo declaró

El 25 de junio de 1965 el ayuntamiento de Córdoba, en sesión plenaria, acordó por unanimidad rotular en el Barrio de Santa Rosa una calle al cronista de
la ciudad don José María Rey Díaz1, con el nombre de «Cronista Rey Díaz», fallecido dos años antes, cuando tenía 71 de edad. Se tributaba de esta justa forma, podría parecerlo, pero no era así, un rendido recuerdo para el futuro a quien desde 1922 había desempeñado fecundamente este cargo honorífico, ignorándose en aquellas calendas que otro ayuntamiento, el de 2018, en sesión ordinaria de 13 de febrero, adoptase el acuerdo de su despojo, ciertamente por una victoria pírrica, a saber por mayoría de 15 votos.
