Podcasting of ODS as a driver of change in higher education a teaching experience for the transfer of knowledge from universities to society
Main Article Content
Abstract
Podcasting as an innovative methodology in higher education has a bidirectional dimension. This paper analyses the podcasting carried out by the students of the Crimiology Degree from a double point of view. On the one hand, it assesses their motivation and involvement in carrying out the work. On the other hand, the Professors evaluate the learning outcomes by using the tool. The target students are those enrolled in the subject "Gender and Violence". The aim of this subject is to offer an all-embracing vision of gender-based violence offering them a complementary vision by integrating the labour dimension. In order to accomplish the objective, previously selected current legal judgements of a labour court that could lead to re-victimisation. These judgements were studied in class. After, the students had to produce their own podcast on one of the selected judgments to delve deeper into the problem of gender-based violence, providing a transversal vision that included another branch of the legal system that will inevitably have to be combined with criminal law. Moreover, with this experience students were encouraged to build their own online identity and improve their technological skills.
