Abstract

This paper reviews Maria Grazia Profeti's career as a leading figure in Italian Hispanic studies, focusing on her contributions to a better understanding of Baroque theater, Lope de Vega, Quevedo, and the bibliography of Juan Pérez de Montalbán's corpus, without neglecting her work as a teacher and mentor to philologists.
