plagiarism policy
The journal Docencia y Derecho is committed to upholding the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and sound editorial practices, in accordance with international standards and, in particular, the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All submissions to the journal must be original and unpublished, not previously published, and not under simultaneous review by another journal or edited volume. Authors must expressly declare that the manuscript constitutes an original contribution and does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties. Authors also guarantee that they hold the moral rights to the submitted work and that they have the necessary authorizations for the reproduction of images, graphics, tables, photographs, or other copyrighted materials. The use of third-party content must be properly cited and comply with current intellectual property regulations. In order to prevent plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and other practices contrary to academic ethics, all manuscripts will undergo a similarity analysis using the Turnitin tool, managed by the University of Córdoba. The generated report will be evaluated by the editorial team as part of the review process. The detection of misconduct, such as plagiarism, self-plagiarism, citation manipulation, falsification, or data fabrication, may result in the immediate rejection of the manuscript. If such conduct is detected after publication, the journal will take appropriate measures, which may include publishing corrections, retractions, or withdrawing the article, in accordance with COPE recommendations. The journal is also committed to ensuring an objective and confidential evaluation process based on academic criteria, as well as resolving any ethical conflicts that may arise during the editorial process.
