Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Guidelines for Authors, which can be found in the Submissions section.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word or RTF format.
  • DOI references have been added where possible
  • Where possible, URLs are provided for references and the date of consultation is indicated.
  • The author(s) guarantee authorship of the documents they submit, including both text and images. If the work has significant contributions from more than one author, they must be listed as co-authors. All authors meet the journal's authorship criteria, register their name and email address with the manuscript submission, and no author is omitted from the submission process.
  • The author(s) guarantee that they have the rights to the images presented in their work, as well as having made use of the right of quotation, complying with the Intellectual Property Law.
  • The author(s) declare that they are free of any personal or commercial association that may constitute a conflict of interest in connection with the submitted article, and that they have respected the ethical principles of research.
  • The text meets the length requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which can be found in the Submissions section.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • A summary and keywords have been included in both Spanish and English.
  • The text has single line spacing; the font size is 12 points; italics are used instead of underlining (except for URLs); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are within the text in their proper place and not at the very end.

Author Guidelines

Publication in the journal Docencia y Derecho implies the author's express acceptance of the following conditions: Rights Ownership The author retains all moral and economic rights to the work. The journal does not require the exclusive transfer of rights but only receives the right of first publication. Right of First Publication The author grants the journal the right of first publication, and this initial publication is recorded in Docencia y Derecho. Declaration of Originality and Exclusivity of Submission The author declares that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published in any format, print or digital, and is not simultaneously under review by another journal or edited volume. License for Use and Dissemination Published works are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) license in effect at the time of publication. This license allows third parties to share, copy, redistribute, and reuse the work in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, provided that authorship is properly acknowledged, the initial publication in this journal is cited, and the applicable license is indicated. The license guarantees immediate open access to the content and promotes the widest possible dissemination of knowledge, without prejudice to due acknowledgment of authorship. Self-Archiving and Subsequent Dissemination The author may deposit the published version of the article in institutional or thematic repositories, or on personal websites, provided that the complete reference to the original publication in the journal is expressly indicated. Responsibility for Content The author assumes sole responsibility for the content of the published work, including respect for the intellectual property rights of third parties and obtaining the necessary authorizations for the reproduction of copyrighted materials.
