Culture is an asset of extraordinary value. It is for the enrichment of the soul.
It is for building collective memory and feelings of belonging. The pedagogical
usefulness of work on European cultural heritage and European cultural diversity
as a tool for teaching European constitutional law is considered. Through training
in the values on which the European project and the constitutions of the States that
make it up are based, we can build common foundations shared by European
citizens. In addition, work on the European citizens' initiative and other forms of
citizen participation encourage European encounters and deliberation on problems
that are common to all of us. We are given perspectives and teaching experiences
that make us part of a common process of which we feel a part through European
culture, heritage and art.
