Francisco Acuyo in Portuguese. Four poems for an anthology
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this paper, our focus will be one translation project from Spanish to Portuguese regarding the poetic work of Francisco Acuyo (Granada, 1960). The project takes the form of an anthology that will bring together 25 poems along with their translations. This paper begins with a short overview of the life and writings of Francisco Acuyo. Next, as an example, we present four original poems along with their translations. All of them are typical from the first period of Acuyo's works (La transfiguración de la lira, 1984 and No la flor para la guerra, 1987). In the final section, we offer a select bibliography of his work.
