An approach to European Parliament technical texts: the case of reports

Abstract
This paper focuses on the identification of the linguistic features of a report in its English version and in its parallel Spanish translation, belonging to the technical texts emanated from the European Parliament. In order to identify these features the following aspects will be analysed: a) discursive aspects: grammar and lexicon; b) linguistic aspects and legal terminology; c) rethorical aspects: text nature and purpose.
