Gastronomic tourism and culinary apps: business options

Abstract
Tourism as a sector is a mainstay of the Spanish economy. Within the tourism field, some specialties are growing significantly, such as gastronomic tourism, which tries to take advantage of the digital dynamics of the Broadband Society to reach more customers. That is why the market for culinary applications is developing. Its feasibility of implementation in the hospitality sector is a matter of study. Thus, the main objective of this research is to establish a relationship between gastronomy and tourism through an application for the use of tourists, in addition to knowing the impact of new technologies in the sector. The methodology used is quantitative and qualitative, through surveys distributed through social networks and personalized interviews with professionals in the sector (gastronomic, hotel, investor and entrepreneur). The results show a lack of definition of existing app projects, and ideas that could work and be useful for future projects focused on a similar business.
