  1. Editorial Team Balance: The journal aims to maintain a balanced editorial team with equal representation of women and men, reflected in the different organs of the journal as well as in the participation of reviewers for academic works.

  2. Use of Inclusive Language: Transletters. International Journal of Translation and Interpreting encourages the use of inclusive language in scientific articles, considering the presence and status of women in society and aligned with the principle of gender equality. It is recommended to replace the generic masculine to denote mixed groups with more neutral terms, explanatory phrases, or constructions that avoid referencing gender. If none of these is possible, split formulations that explicitly mention both genders can be used. Gender Considerations in Research: Research work should avoid gender stereotypes and biases that assume the masculine as the universal norm, amplify biological differences, or normalize socially constructed differences. Additionally, gender should be considered in all types of research.
