AI tools may not be listed as authors in publications in Transletters. International Journal of Translation and Interpreting. Authors must disclose the contribution of AI in the “FUNDING OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS” section, specifying each and every task for which it was used.

It is not necessary to declare the use of AI tools when they are employed solely for text editing purposes, provided that they are used only to improve readability, manuscript style, or to correct grammatical and spelling errors. Although AI may assist in refining wording, it may not be used to generate content. Human authors are fully responsible for ensuring that the final text is original.

Reviewers for Transletters. International Journal of Translation and Interpreting may not use AI during the manuscript review process, as this could compromise authors’ intellectual property rights.

Transletters. International Journal of Translation and Interpreting uses available tools to detect generative artificial intelligence.
