Criminal law is a complex subject, where the student-teacher dialogue and
the analysis of case studies and sentences are required. The paradigm shift that
arrived in March 2020, lead to an adaptation in the teaching methodology of the
subject. The goal was to adjust to online teaching. In order to focus on case
studies and debates, we decided to implement a flipped classroom model. This
work briefly studies this methodology and describes the experience of
implementing this model to the subject “Derecho Penal III”, how it adapted to the
situation, which advantages it presents and, finally, some results that show the
involvement of the students with this model.
