Instrument to measure teachers’ perceptions regarding the value of video games as a learning resource

Abstract
The development of digital society has led to the incorporation of a series of technological tools, some of which are classed as emerging tools, into classroom dynamics to bring education closer to the daily lived reality of the students. This paper presents the data collection tool developed as part of the ERDF project entitled “Design of achievement indicators for digital competency mediated by emerging technologies among secondary school students” (1380801-R), which aims to find out teachers’ perceptions about the value of video games as a resource to support student learning. The phases that have led to the validation of the instrument to collect information that allows responding to the indicated objective are presented: expert opinion and pilot study.
