William Wordsworth y sus traductores franceses

Abstract

In this paper I discuss firstly the influence of the "lakist" poets, and mostly Wordsworth, on the French writer Saint-Beuve. Then three imitated sonnets are surveyed: "I am not one who much of oft delight", "Scorn not the sonnet" and "It is a beauteous evening, calm and free". Secondly, I turn my attention to other French translators and other lovers of English poetry, such as Émile Legouis and André Koszul, who contributed to its spreading in the second half of the 18th century and beginnings of the next century.
