Abstract

The “shields of arms and countershields of arms” are cases of marginal poetry in French during the 16th century. We present here four examples of them translated into Spanish. It is an erotic and daring poetry in the popular tradition gauloise which has been revitalized in the second half of the 20th century. In addition to the translation we attempt n this article to face the erotic poetry reveáis quite a few aethetic-cultural coincidences with the Spanish poetry of that time.
