EDITORIAL PROCESS

1. Receipt of articles

After an article is received, a preliminary evaluation will be carried out to assess:
a) its relevance to the journal’s thematic scope and editorial criteria, and
b) compliance with the formatting requirements set out in the publication guidelines.

Receipt of a manuscript does not guarantee its acceptance.

2. Double-blind peer review

Submissions will be sent anonymously to two experts who are external to the journal’s editorial team. These reviewers will prepare evaluation reports recommending whether or not each article should be published. The editorial team will assess these reports and subsequently inform the author of the decision. If the two reviewers’ reports are incompatible, the article will be sent to a third reviewer.

If revisions are requested, acceptance of the article will be subject to the completion of these improvements. The revised version must be resubmitted to the journal’s editors within a maximum period of one month from the date the review reports are sent. If this deadline expires, the article will be rejected and the author will have to begin a new submission process from the beginning.

If necessary, the article will be sent to a second round of external double-blind peer review. Authors will be notified of the evaluation only once both reviewers have submitted their reports.

3. Reviewers

The journal has specialized reviewers to assess the methodological procedures used in submitted manuscripts. Reviewers are selected by the journal’s editors based on their academic and scientific merits, as well as their professional experience, and include both national and international specialists.

 4. Acceptance or rejection

The editors’ decision to accept or reject a manuscript will take into account both negative and positive evaluations from the reviewers.

A manuscript may be rejected if it:

  • Does not fall within the scientific themes covered by the journal.
  • Does not use the prescribed citation system.
  • Is not submitted in the required format (please use the style sheet).
  • Has been previously published in the same or another language.

A manuscript may be accepted if:

  • It fits the objectives of the section in which it is submitted.
  • It is original or offers a qualitative analysis that provides relevant insights.
  • It demonstrates novelty, freshness, and advances in the topics addressed.
  • It shows methodological coherence and logical structure.
  • It has a high standard of formal presentation, including clear writing and good organization.
