About the Journal
Transletters is an international scientific journal that focuses on a wide range of topics in the field of Translation and Interpreting, such as methodologies, areas of specialisation, cultural facets and conceptual frameworks.
The purpose of our journal is to disseminate high quality academic research, as well as reviews, news and debates. We publish on an annual basis and all the contributions are written in English or French. We especially welcome papers on topics at the cutting edge of the discipline.
Transletters tries to combine efforts and serves as a meeting point for highly qualified researchers and experts on the subject fields addressed in the journal.
Blind peer review process
Papers will be sent confidentially and anonymously to two experts that will hold no relation with the editorial board of the journal. Reviewers will deliver a report concerning the convenience of the proposal's publication, which will be taken into consideration by the Editors-in-Chief. After that, the decision on acceptance or refusal will be communicated to the author. If the evaluating experts disagree on that decision, the paper will be sent to a third reviewer.
When a paper is considered for publication upon the incorporation of changes, the final acceptance of this paper will be subject to the implementation of such changes. The revised version will have to be returned to the editos of the Journal in a month's time after receiving the reviewers' feedback. If the revised version is not sent within this period, the article will be rejected and the author will have to start a new process of submission.
If necessary, the nwe version will be again sent to external reviewers; this process will continue until the paper merits a definitive acceptance from the Journal. The authors will receive a notification concerning the final decision only when both reviewers have sent their reports.
