Abstract

In these pages, an example of contamination is studied in the textual tradition of La Celestina, the named N text, that is, the first Italian translation of the book (Rome 1506) which, although derives from a low branch of the Tragicomedy in 21 acts, exhibits however frequent contaminations with the primitive writing of the text (either the manuscript phase, or the printed phase of the Comedy in 16 acts, or the first phase of the Tragicomedy in 21 acts). The ‘polluter’ of the texts is his spanish antecedent, y3, lost nowadays, and of this contamination, except N, there isn’t trace in any of the contemporaneous testimonies.
