Vol. 7 No. 2 (2023): Special issue on Heritage Tourism Management and the International Congress on Heritage Tourism Management in Inland Destinations (CIGESTUR EGYPT 2023)
This special issue of RITUREM is dedicated to the topic of Heritage Tourism Management and includes, among other contributions, various works presented to the First International Congress on Heritage Tourism Management in Inland Destinations (CIGESTUR – CAIRO), organized jointly by a Spain-Egypt International Committee from April 26 to 28, 2023 in Cairo, Egypt. The organization of this Congress was carried out by the Sinai Higher Institute of Tourism and Hotels in Egypt in cooperation with the University of Córdoba, Spain. In this sense, we want to thank Professor Ibrahim Elassal for the special collaboration that we have had at all times for the edition of this issue of the magazine.
This International Congress has aimed to bring together prominent scientists and academic researchers from Spain, England and other European countries, Latin America and Egypt to exchange and share their experiences and results of their scientific research on global initiatives in the field of heritage, management and tourism sustainability and hotel management.
CIGESTUR CAIRO 2023 includes five main themes that bring together representatives not only from tourism, but also from heritage, the economy, the hospitality industry, NGOs and tourism destination management entities, as well as government officials, which is why this event has had a not only academic but also scientific-technical and professional character.
