Abstract

The article analyzes the stories which have been included in Bolaño´s Llamadas telefónicas. Firstly, irony is studied as an essential literary device; it is understood as a disruptive mechanism with reality, and as a denial of the environment. Then, transgression processes are described, through the importance of marginalization, alienation and social breakdown. Finally, literary references are mentioned.
