Abstract
This paper deals with the comparative translatological analysis of the translation written by Cayetana de la Cerda of the Avis d’une mère à son fils of Mme de Lambert, one of the most influential salonnières of her time. After a brief introduction that considers the author’s biography and the structure and content of the original work, the techniques used in the translation are analysed.
