Call for papers

Although schools are increasingly recognised as an ideal context for promoting the health, well-being and development on children and adolescents, there is limited evidence that sheds light on the effectiveness and sustainability of successful health-promoting school-based interventions. In this context, the special issue aims to map different perspectives linked to health promotion in schools at the following levels: individual (e.g. psychological factors or socio-demographic variables or gender), social (e.g. the role of social partners in the educational community), institutional (e.g. evaluation of curricular programmes or actions that support socio-emotional, physical and psychological domains of student health and well-being), community (e.g. collaboration with the local community to promote health in the schools) or policy (e.g. evaluation of the effectiveness of school public health policies). This special issue is open to papers including evidence related to these levels linked to the health determinants and assets that revolve around the school context.
