All manuscripts received are reviewed by the Editorial Team, who will first check whether the article submitted conforms to the formal criteria required by the journal. The Editorial Team will then evaluate the work's compliance with the journal's standards, relevance, rigour, and the originality of its research. Its decision will be conveyed within approximately 10 days. The papers that meet the criteria of quality and adequacy of the thematic content but do not meet the editorial standards and have not covered the necessary metadata will be returned directly to the authors by the Editorial Team, requesting them to conform to the standards in order to start the evaluation process of their work. In the event that the second version still does not comply with the journal's standards, the article will be definitively rejected. Likewise, the Editorial Team will check that the paper does not have a percentage of coincidence with other sources higher than 15% and not explainable, rejecting those papers that do not comply with this rule.
The papers that continue to the next phase will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers from outside the journal who will evaluate the scientific quality of the manuscript (double-blind review procedure). If there is controversy between the peer reviewers' opinions, that is, they do not coincide in their final decision, the editor will request the review of at least other peer reviewer to make a more adjusted decision.
The Editorial Team will be responsible for the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the article for publication, based on the evaluation and recommendations of the reviewers. The Editorial Team will send to the corresponding author the result of its decision: 1) admission for publication without changes; 2) the article requires minor corrections for its admission; 3) the article needs major or important corrections for its admission; and 4) rejection. Together with their decision, the Editorial Team will send the observations and comments derived from the review carried out by the reviewers and the Editorial Team. The editorial team undertakes to communicate a first decision within a maximum period of four months.

When the authors send a new version of their article, they should accompany it with a letter of changes (also anonymous), explicitly stating which of the suggested changes have been made and which have not, indicating in the latter case the reason. The manuscript may be subjected to as many rounds of evaluation as the editor deems necessary, without tacit or implicit acceptance of the manuscript until the editorial decision.
Once the manuscript is accepted, the version containing all the information that has been blinded for review will be sent and the last phase of the editorial process will begin in which the layout team will contact the author of the paper to adjust the paper to the journal's publication format, complete and review the metadata information for errors. After this review, NO further changes will be made to the manuscript document or to the information related to authorship data. The editorial team commits to publish the paper within twelve months.
